It is a  clayton & lambert firepot from the 1930's, unfortunately the steel shroud and stand that was attached the the center pin is missing. I have a photo of the complete unit that I could scan and post if your interested.
It's a nice piece all the same.

OK here's a picture of the complete firepot, if it were complete I would be quite interested in it. As a blow torch collector I don't own any firepots but would love a couple in my collection.

Very common on C&L earlier models, an easy way to pick a C&L torch.

thanks everyone for the help on the torch. I love the photo . Would anybody know the value of a complete one ? and or this one as it sits. I guessing maybe 125-175 range as is. Rarity is key with this tool even incomplete .

I'm think it so much more interesting with out the steel shroud. Because with the shroud kind of just looks like every other fire-pot as it should. Designed to be a melting pot.

Sorry range as it is I would guess around $30.00- $45.00 on a good day.

That would be cool, Batz. Thank you very much! But just one or two. I would proudly display them on my board(s.)

I've had to grab a lot of small trim valves. They started to hurt my hands a few years ago, and now I just ask someone else to do it.

Those handles look totally user friendly. And they look like a great example of what is missing on a lot of products today. Style.
