Title: wrenchs
Post by: Charles Garrett on August 06, 2014, 08:16:31 PM
I would like  to know when Charles E Hall co., Buffalo, Ny was formed.

Also I would like to know if any body has some CURKO tools.  I have hand valve grinders but not their hex drive socket sets.  They were made by Currier  Koeth Mfg Co from 1907 to 1916 when Graham Roller bearing was formed to take over CK then by GRB.

Looks like I overlooked Me.  I am 91 yrs old and now live in Kirkland WA.  Most of my tool collections have been sold by Mike Urness at auction. I have managed to keep a couple.  As I'm the Koeth multi jawed Historian I have a good stash of them. Had a nice brief history of the tool published in Dec 2013 issue of Gristmill.

The  hex socket set I'm looking for Has only 5 sockets and maybe marked "CURKO". They are patent #s 1328428  &  Design pat # 59417. An earlier set doesnot have the raised rim at top of socket nor the retaining clip on the std looking handle. I doubt that the retaining clip on later ones would have survived. Chuck Garrett
