So, since I must start all over again, I am a "newbie." Does this mean I have any lesser privileges or access than "senior members" or "contributors"?
I used to post a lot of photos of older tools. I have lots and lots of vintage OEM "kit" tools for cars, and have posted photos of some uncommon SK stuff that I have here on Tool Talk. But now I understand there was a terrible crash, and so I have started over.
Oh well. We'll see what happens, I guess.

Naw...the forum isn't set up to care about that...
Perhaps papaw will bump up your status... ; P
Pictures are good we love pictures... : )
PS: The smilies are busted...we don't know why...they just are...

Thanks, Rusty. I went to a couple of the message boards here, and saw posts where someone said something like, "I found this odd looking tool. Any ideas?" Then someone else replied with something like, "It looks like...blah, blah..."
Yet I saw no photo. The first time I figured that this was an anomaly. But I found a few like that, and never have yet seen a photo in a post on Tool Talk, now that I am a newbie as of today.
Thanks for any insight. I do appreciate it.

If you are a guest (not logged in), you don't see the pictures...
(If you are logged in and not seeing pictures, it may be that papaw needs to kick the forum software in the behind ;)
A somewhat annoying feature, but the other forums seem to do something similar also, gj for example won't show guests pictures in posts with more than one picture...
It is not IMHO a great feature, it is probably to prevent cross site linkling, but it also means visitors miss a lot of the interesting things : (

Seems like a great time to start reposting your tool kit pictures. There's one guy here who would love to see early Chrysler stuff.
Welcome back.
