Found th3ese at an auction for $3, so I took a chance. Appear to be old enough to be US made, but can find nothing on them on the internet. Irwin now makes a Prosnip, but it sure looks like it's from overseas, like all their other stuff these days. Guessing the green goes right and the red goes left, just like the nautical stuff.
Thanks

Prosnip was one of the brands that Newell Rubbermaid acquired from American Tool (along with Vise-Grip, Irwin, Speedbor, Record and others) and which are all marketed as "Irwin" today with very little domestic production remaining.
Yours are made in the USA (says so right on the hand grip), and you're quite right: green = right, red = left.
Nice score.

Must have tools if you work in the hvac or tin knocker trade, and even if you don't, they are great for gutter repair etc. around the house. Nice find at a nice price!
