So, it appears that one of our members has passed...
The following was taken from a thread at GJ by rebrewer:
Hi all,
A long time GJ member, Larry Randall (OldToolMan) died unexpectedly Thursday. Larry was great fun and could talk tools, cars and motorcycles for hours.
Think good thoughts for his wife of 52 years, Peggy.
I checked his profile here and Larry was last active early morning Thursday; he must have passed later that same day...

Dang, that's a bummer. I hope they got good internet service wherever he's gone, so he can keep up on what goes on around here. RIP Larry!

My condolences to Peggy and the rest of their family.

Sorry to hear that news.

Hello all and thank you for your condolences.
I am Larry's son by the same name. Some one at garage journal pointed out that my dad was active here so I thought I would stop by. I am a tool head like my dad so I will try to carry on his legacy.

please accept my belated condolences,
if I recall the Oldtoolman was from the west coast, I had been a follower of his tool listing until my other computer zonked out and
I lost a lot of listed favorites. yup, no backup.
was very glad to hear that the son is taking his place in the tool world, welcome to the clan.
