I found this old socket set while cleanig out my late dads shop. Any one have any information as to the age and history of these sockets
-
Made by Bethleham Spark Plug Co in the 20's or 30's. The older sets are in wooden boxes.
-
The sockets look a bit like early Blackhawk sockets. Do they have a large retainer hole or a locking pin near the base? Just wondering...
-
The 1/2 drive quickway set on AA has a Bonney ratchet in it, so anything is possible here, I doubt a spark plug company would bother tooling up to make an accessory tool set when so many people would happily make it for them...
-
No holes or retaining pins just knurling.
-
BobB,
Probably not made by blackhawk then.

rusty,
I believe that's a Bethleham ratchet, not a Bonney.

The 1/2 hex drive ratchet, with a B-shield logo, and a 1923 Bonney date code...
