Title: What is this Mossberg? wrench for?
Post by: Papaw on June 09, 2014, 02:39:08 AM
An email brought me this picture of a wrench for ID purposes. Logo is an M in a diamond that looks like Mossberg, but what is the application? Water pump? Fan clutch?

Hubcap wrench? Essex and Packard both had the hex caps. Probably others. The factory wrench for Essex is stamped steel , that one looks a little expensive for a tool kit wrench.

I have looked everywhere for this wrench to see if I could find one. I have come up on some, but none of them are the same. Some of the similar ones I have seen by different manufactures say it is a wagon wheel wrench.

I have seen several of these, some are also marked "1-1/4". I haven't been able to identified them yet. If it is a hub wrench the size would suggest truck, implement or heavy equipment not auto.

The "M" in a diamond logo usually associated with Mossberg on a cast wrench is strange. All other Mossberg products I have encountered either in person or in catalogs are drop forged.
