Mephisto, short for Mephistopheles, a Faustian Devil, pliers, I haven't seen this style before.

Those dehorning clippers are just way to cool.

That rack and pinion arrangement on the dehorning tool is awesome indeed, but I really like those Mephisto pliers. The way the handles are oriented seems like it would make them fit your hand like a pistol grip.

Didn't know about dehorning until a couple of months ago.
Funny the stuff you learn on Papaws wrench, huh?

(NR) Appears on a cast farm wrench (Moline Drill *), and on small cast coal shovels.
One of the shovels also says "N. M. C. Co, Chicago"
Identifying the latter might identify the former, given they start with the same letter..
The only thing I can find for NMC is an index entry for "door fastenings"
So far, it looks like a casters/foundry mark...
