Title: First day , first table flea market find. It's a doozy :-)
Post by: Mitch on April 27, 2014, 03:32:03 PM
So the flea market had it's first day today. A bit cold, but it was busy. The very first table we came to, and we knew it was going to be a good day. Craftsman Underlined C 1/4 drive socket SET. All marked with the underlined C and the circle H. Got it for a song and a prayer! I try to not to feel bad when a person has no idea what they have, and they sell for real cheap. Start to a good season!

I've seen some partial (very partial!) sets, but never a complete set. I found the same one on Comcast's website, so that was validation for me. Same box, same everything. Made my start to the season very upbeat! After such a long hard winter, this was needed! :-)

Same here, but only for a second or two. Great find.

I didn't have any, but I was looking for old SK last fall.  I bought a 1/2" set of SK sockets w/ ratchet and extensions.

The auction listing was hard to see, but they mentioned there were Craftsman sockets as well. It was 12 sockets, 1/2" - 1-1/8", underlined craftsman, BE series. Two extra duplicates of 11/16" BE & 5/8" circle H.

They were basically extra, after research they went into my special box.

I had to fight a guy for the flat.  It ended up at $26.00, I was irritated at the other guy for running me up.  I guess none of us knew what we were looking at.

How old does the fact that the pictured set has two 8-point sockets make it? I had quite a few back when I horse-farmed, but I gradually left them behind. Only own one, now that I'm out of the farming life, but never (before coming in here) paid attention to the makers, ages, etc.
