Wish I had a scrap metal buddy!!!  I don't know what that red thing is (valve grinder?), but I would love an arbor press in my garage. Nice haul.

The arbor press looks like a size 0 or O
the red tool on the right is a Tru-cut armature lathe, they were common in starter/generator/motor shops.
nice useful tools!

What make is the ratchet?
The handle looks like a Craftsman.
Shake that "friend's" hand, as all those tools are really useful to a young man like you.

Amazing thing is it was all stuff he got for free. He just takes most metal to the scrapyard an only sells some stuff. This stuff he wasn't interested in so he let me keep it. Ile help him out every now an then, an in return every now an then he drops off stuff he comes across.

Mrchuck- the ratchet is a craftsman. I am pretty sure its works as it should an 3/8 drive. I will look at it soon.

A few more pictures of them all.

The craftsman ratchet is hard to turn. I will have to open her up an see whats going on in there.

Those c-clamps remind me of how I need to get some more myself. You can never have enough c-clamps. They are so expensive to buy new though.

Nola you keep that lathe right next to your pillow and dream of all the copper chips you can make with it.  That is a nice little unit.

I ain't seeing the mica cutter in the picture.  Hopefully it is there.
