Good Morning,
A couple of weeks ago I found some of my Grandfather's blacksmith tools at a sale of a deceased cousin in Illonois. I purchased his anvil and a large post drill. I wanted these items to stay in the family. I've alswas had an interest in old tools and shop work in general and having these family antiques was a bonus. I can't read the name on the anvil and the post drill is a Chicago Foundry No. 1998. I'm taking a blacksmithing class here at the Ozark Folk Center starting next week to get some hands on experience. Reading posts off the board has given me info on my drill. I think there might be a forge in my future.
