Title: A how does it work for you?
Post by: oldgoaly on March 07, 2014, 08:46:45 PM
A buddy has this he posted a pic, I've cropped it and enlarged about big as I could and still post it. We know it's a soldering iron, it's hollow, solid plug in end,  has vent holes shank. I think it maybe a carbide powered? like a miner's lamp. Anyone got the answer?  Sorry I don't have more pics.

One of the blowtorch books that I have shows a similar one that had a brass fuel tank inside the handle under the cap.  Could yours be missing?

I am sure Batz will chime in soon enough.

Never seen one of these before, but certain linesman's soldering irons were heated by burning solid fuel pellets...
