It appears to be really well made, but when did Klein start farming out their US products. I know a lot of their stuff is made in China now, but this wrench has been around a while.
Thanks,

Being from Japan, it likely dates from the 1970s to early 80s...

I did not realize they farmed their tools out to china! I have always thought of klein as a good brand, and still do. Here is a interesting history on the company: http://www.kleintools.com/content/history.

Pretty sure the hard-line pliers are still all USA, but I recently needed a long flexible auger bit for a wiring job I was doing. Headed to the Home Despot and bought both the bit and the placement tool and did the work.

When I got home that night, I noticed both were Taiwanese. Disappointed...

At our local farm and home store, the blue handled automatic wire strippers that go used on ebay(US made ones) for over $50, are now Chinese made and sell new for $26. I think as supplies in the stores rotate, you'll see more of it made in ROC. Acquired quite a bit of Klein Journeyman tools at the auction last week. They are simply following Milwaukee's lead I guess....
