These pliers are unmarked. Inside of each jaw is a groove that runs most of the length of the jaw. They are 5 1/4 inches long.
Any ideas?

Also used to fix wire mesh fencing to the straining wires (as well as ringing hogs) - I have just seen very similar on another forum, good quality with a boxed joint - used by jewellers to hold rings whern filing the inside (presumably after soldering - to clean up the joint)...

Jeweler's ring holding pliers are a little different, here are pictures of a pair that I have:

The groove is shallow, and the length of the pliers is 5-1/2" long.
