Title: German made screwdriver
Post by: radguy on August 01, 2011, 10:32:01 AM
This nice little screwdriver has what looks like a V with four dots inside it for a logo and says Germany right after it.

Other than being longer, it looks a lot like the one that has ridden in my pocket for about 5 years now. Just Germany on mine, and I don't know the maker. Mine does have a six-sided shank.

This style is commonly referred to as "Perfect Handle", after the primary originator, the H. D. Smith Co. of Plantsville, CT.
That brand name stuck as a descriptor, like Crescent wrench or Kleenex.
