S wrenches are much older than the ISN's , and very inconsistent.
The 'standard sizes are easy, they run in 1/8th's from 3/8 to 1-1/8, with the certain sizes 1/32 over for clearence. Nearly everybody added letters to the numbers with additional 1/16th's and different end combinations however. (A 'standard' set of S-wrtenches , when used with SAE bolts for example, will have several wrench end sizes that don't fit any available bolt or nut)
# Actual opening
75 13/32 x 1/2
77 1/2 x 5/8
79 5/8 x 11/16
81 11/16 x 27/32
83 27/32 x 15/16
85 1 x 1-1/8
