Title: 2104 Indestro wrench set
Post by: Wrenchmensch on January 21, 2014, 10:46:55 AM
I found this intact Indestro 2104 set last Friday.  I bought it because, although dirty, the paint and the  cadmium plating seemed intact and the set was complete.  The pictures show the set after cleaning.

My Dad had one of these 1936 patent sets.  At the time of his death the set was lost. As a boy, I used his set to disassemble and reassemble my 24-inch Rollfast bicycle.  My belief, as a 10 year old boy, was that this wrench set was the ne plus ultra of wrench design!

I tried half a dozen time to add photos, but I received a "Server Error" message each time.

Voila, I tried again!  Now you have pictures!

It's snowing here, hard, and has been since 10 this morning.

Started snowing around 7:15 AM this morning and is still coming down at 5:00 PM. Wind is starting to blow, hope to be able to blow the driveway out yet tonight.

Funny, my grandfather had that set also.

the only wrenches he owned.

he never did nuts and bolts , he was a carpenter.

The irony was, he owned a hardware store, could have had any wrenches he wanted

now that I say that, I realize,  he did indeed have all the wrenches he wanted.

Got the driveway cleared out this a.m., before the north wind started. Temperature was 4 F.  Actually worked up a sweat inside my down-filled parka!
