I found this in a box of stuff my dad left me. I have no idea how he came to have it. I showed it off here once just before the site melt down, but I was looking through some pictures and I thought some of you might like to see it again.

That is a cool set to have! 40-50 HP should help date it.

40/50 was the official name for the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost which was produced between 1908 and 1925. (You gotta love Wikipedia)

Yeah, seems like I looked that up before, too. I think the previous model was 20/30. I saw some of those for crazy money, like 300 or 400 pounds. My luck, mine is probably common as dirt.

Wow. That's encouraging. If someone offers me 350 for mine I'll be able to say "I used to have one just like that" LOL

When I find something special like that it goes into my special drawers. No one messes with the special stuff.
