I just spent a looong time on the phone with a guy in St Peterburg Florida. He bought one of Papaws big wrenches. Ebay screwed up his shipping address and the big wrench was returned undeliverable. I called him to straighten things out. Nice guy. He sells used stuff at the Pinnales Park Mustang Flea Market. He is big into old tools and wrenches. He is a member of MWTCA. He says that he has an 80 ft long wall full of tools. He will be looking at Papaws Wrench online. If you are in that neighborhood, drop in. His email is: hdm1950@verizon.net. Don't be shocked at the prices on the wall stuff. That's his collection and he really doesn't want to sell it.

John. I have emailed him, funny I may have shopped at his location previously but didn't see the wall of tools. Will be looking for him specifically next time I am out there.

I assume that he sells in one of the buildings. Can you say which one?

Chopper, there is only one building at the Mustang flea market. He is in the western most bay. There is a sign over the door that says tools. Unfortunately much of what he sells is Chinese junk. I'm not sure where the 80 ft. wall of tools is, I've never seen it that I remember. He does have some tools up on the walls but nothing real exciting.
He has been there quite awhile, 6 or 7 years at least. One really nice item he has is a farriers anvil. I don't remember what brand. I asked him what he wanted for it and he said it wasn't for sale. I then made the mistake of asking him what "the I don't want to sell it" price was...$2500.00. It was a nice anvil, but not that nice.
Keep in mind that the Wagon wheel flea mkt. is immediately East of Mustang and has many buildings.

Mike's note re-enforces who I think he is. He has .50 and 1.00 bins you can sort thru, which fits my budget some days!

I know who he is, always wears a cowboy type hat and has a young oriental wife. Over the years I've bought tools from him [Plomb & early Proto] at reasonable prices.

Chopper, that's the guy. I was there today and checked his wall. I was wrong in my earlier post...there probably is about 80 ft. Of wall with tools. However it is about 2 ft. high so not a whole bunch of tools and nothing real fancy...except the anvil, and it is nice!! 'Course the anvil isn't on the wall:)

I never noticed the 'wall' but do remember the anvil on the end of the isle where his old wrench bins are.

Chopper, if you have never been there, a trip to the Webster and Beviles Corners flea markets on a Monday should be on your list. Both have a lot of guys selling tools. They are the only market's I am aware of that are open on a Monday.
It's a bit of a drive from St. Pete beach but worth it. Just be sure to go to the Webster west side mkt.
