Crescent find

Picked her up at a hardware store closing sale.

Any info on her is greatly appreciated.

Can you get a scan of that parts list? Check the contents of the box against the list so you'll know what you have there.

Very nice find :)

The wings put the vintage close to papaw's display boards, but thay box was available to the hardware stores for quite a broad period of time. If you want to know the date more closely, you can probably work it out by compariung the retail prices written on the parts sheet with catalogs, most of the catalogs also had a parts page....

(The jaws are interesting, they are only chrome plated on the polished surfaces...hmm)
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Papwaw I went to scan it an rembered the scanner is broken. I do however have a brother who has a very nice camra that should be able to capture all the detail of the sheet. Would that work by anny chance?

As far as I know, the catalog on Rose's site is 24, which is from about 1941
Catalog 26 (no A) is from ~ 1950
