Title: Bonney "Set No. H"
Post by: afcbillsfan on March 26, 2012, 01:36:22 PM
Hello, All!  I have a Bonney truck/tractor, I'm assuming, socket set, and was wondering if anyone could tell me it's value. Hopefully this is the correct forum on this site to discuss this. If not, I apologize, and please direct me to the correct one. I can email photos if you want see it. It has the "Hercules" 1" drive socket wrench. There was a sliding T/breaker bar and a couple of extensions as well, but they don't all fit in metal case, so not sure which goes with it. Thanks for any info!

Adam

*** I have added a few pics...

*** And thanks for all the welcomes!

Hi welcome to the forum.

There is some info about the history of it on this site. It may also help you date it.

You can go through the various pages at the bottom there and see all about bonney.

Thanks for the info, but I was already there, and much to my surprise, could find nothing on this set, or any reference to the "Hercules" ratchet. Very comprehensive for what it contains, mind you, but not pertinent to my situation, so my journey has brought me here for advice...

There is a one line mention of the Hercules ratchet and set H on the bottom of page 3, but it doesn't tell you anything you don't already know....

If I remember , both  3/4 and inch had "Hercules" ratchets...

Well Adam, can't speak to value for you,  but yer killin' us!
I believe that is the oldest 1" set I ever saw, and the most personally desirable.

Besides you don't really care from value. You can't sell it anyway.
You would have to sell local because shipping would be unlikely, and you wouldn't get top price that way.
So you are stuck with it,
     and we are all drooling!!!

Better pictures please!!  When the weather cooperates take it outside to the edge of the light, so we can see it!
