1930:

It wasn't nothing special, just a beaten down 2002 Ford F150, plain jane V6 w/standard transmission. Like I said, it had lived a rough life, damaged passenger side door and cab corner, tailgate rusted out on the bottom, bald tires.

It was just the fact that her idea of a reasonable offer was way off base from mine. In my experience, if someone has something for sale you never offer more than what you know they are asking to begin with.

Thanks guys, expecially those who have complimented me. I have very high thoughts of those on this site as well. I know you guys are right an that theres nothing I can do but its just frusterating at times. Oh well, not my fault.

Trying to make that truck deal seems very frusterating as well. To bad it didnt happen.

That price won't even buy the big one off the truck.   Where I go the Snapon stuff is behind glass so as to not get our grubby prints on it, and is listed at about 80% of new price.  You realize if you start using these, you may not need to buy another ratchet for years?   You done good.

You do realize those are completely unusable.  I can clearly see scratches and damaged chrome.

Ya did better than well though.

Don't forget to call that apartment dweller and thank him for not taking your money, at least 10 times.

Nice score!  And you don't have to think of giving your money to that other jerk. I don't deal with jerks because I hate to think they profit from their behavior.

Now thats what Id be doing as well.

Id scan a photo of what I bought instead and stick it under his wiper when I was in the area and write note, thanks for not selling me your tools, it allowed me to buy these for a much better price. Have a nice day

That is a "wonderful" find there!
You got a real deal.
You left that other place, and walked right into a Snap-On collection.
Just can't do better than that!!
