That second box, along with the vintage tool assortment looks awsome.  I think your are on the right path to portable tool displays.  The red interior is perfect (2 thumbs up)!

I like it too, some red felt would really dress it up
Always looking for what interests me, anything early Dodge Brothers/Graham Brothers trucks ( pre 1932 or so ) and slant six / Super six parts.

That red interior is so good!  I liked the first picture you posted so well that I saved it on my computer for a reference for building some myself.  Once I get my workshop up, a wall box like this is going to hold all the bits and pieces for my ShopSmith.  Thank you for the pictures, and for the story of how you came to use the design and color.
