I've had the gout for years and years and had it under control until my doctor told me I can't take the meds everyday now but only 6 times a month. Pharmacist said it has been known to cause kidney disease. So I started taking 1 every 5 days and now I've got the gout in my foot, just glad its not the big toe cause that pain is unbareble. Its next to the big toe and has my foot swelled but I can tolerate it.
I've tried other gout meds and am allergic to them. I tried drinking a gallon of water a day but that gets old, plus I was wearing out my doohickey by peeing so much. I've tried eating the dark cherries and the celery seed solution but it doesn't help.
Anybody have any natural remedies that have worked for them or someone else?

ooh, I have great empathy for you, gout sucks!
I have had it under control for years, but the old medicine isn't available anymore.
It was discovered by the Egyptians, so no one ever did a full health and side effect test on it.
Since it wasn't tested, the FDA banned it.
I guess a couple thousand years of good results wasn't enough.
anyway I have tried the new drugs and they work, but not as well.
PM me for specific info.

Let's get some old tools in this discussion- I have a cider press I'd like to restore so I can press berries and such to get a drink that has the needed anti-oxidants to stop the buildup of Uric acid in my joints!
I need the bucket that fits under the press.

Papaw, what kind of bucket does your press use? What I've seen shouldn't be too difficult to make.

I guess like this one-

That looks pretty make-able, really. Couple of hoops and a bunch of staves -- most work looks like drilling the holes in the hoops and staves. And a bunch of riveting...
