Title: Tungsten Spark Plug wrenches
Post by: Northwoods on June 17, 2018, 09:41:50 PM
Have two of these old Tungsten wrenches.  One is 7/8" by 1".  The other is 1" by 1 1/8".
Anyone know if there are any other sizes?

Early plugs I have seen were 13/16, and 7/8, very early were one inch.   So maybe there is one more out there.

I hope so.
I have had the larger one for a couple of years and picked up the second only because it was easily available.  It is so similar in length that I didn't at first realize it was different.
Only about 1/8" difference in their lengths.

Champion C-4 a common plug back in the day has 1- 1/8 hex.  C-4 were used on Model A Fords 1928 - 31 .  I would say pretty common plug size back then.

I know some folks (many have access to old auto graveyards) make a great hobby of collecting plugs.  I see that Tungsten brand plugs came in individual tins.
