Today's catch
« on: July 21, 2017, 06:23:19 PM »
Hello, I haven't posted in a while, summer is our busy carpentry season where I work!!! I did manage to stop and say hello to a local antique dealer on the way home, and found this pile. I am a sucker for old pocket worn Zig-Zag Folding Rulers, especially ones with the caliper & hook, no former owner's mark under the caliper. . Next is an odd tool, could not find any info on it, marked Cherry Burrell Corporation. Next is a Die Holder for a brace (round dies). Last is an unmarked 1/2" Hex Female Drive Ratchet, pressed steel frame, nice click on the gear!!! Regards, Lou

The T-handle looks like some sort of auger.  Watermelon pluger?
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....

Hello, Lewill2. That is a possibility. I think that it being stainless, it may have had a different application. Thanks for the reply, Lou

Cherry Burrell seems to make dairy machines such as bottle and carton filling machines, commercial ice cream machines and other equipment. Since it's stainless I wouldn't be surprised if it was to sample ice cream or cheese or?.
