2 Coes wrenches up on ebay, one is the 1853 patent double screw started out a $12 and change, 5 bids later it is at $911.00. I'm interested in where this ones ends.

But there are only 2 bidders, it went all the way to 900 on automatic bidding, someone is in for a surprise 'P

 Condition is holding the price down. Looks like its missing retaining nut on handle end.

I went back to copy a photo of the double thread and reading the description, I think that the seller was totally surprised when this turned into a rainmaker.

I'm amazed at these prices. I wouldn't have given either of those wrenches a second glance. I wonder how many treasures I've walked past completely unaware?

Must have been a either a movie prop or someone who really wants to stock up his knick knack shelf.

I must have played with hundreds of those back as a kid when my dad worked on the railroad.
