Title: Unusual Part? John Deere? Oliver?
Post by: lptools on January 24, 2016, 09:02:38 AM
Hello, I found this at the local antique store. Owner thinks it is some sort of wrench, and maybe farm related? John Deere green? There is a raised C7 on the casting . Overall length is approx. 12", and the end with the tag measures approx. 1-1/2" x 2". The top part of the end with tag has a 1/4" wide x 1/8" deep groove on both sides, & the lower part has the same groove, but with vertical ribs that look like they would engage a gear? I had this in the What's It Forum, with help from oldgoaly. Cool looking piece!! Regards, Lou

I could be way out to lunch, but I get the impression it's part of something adjustable. Like an old basin wrench, or something along that line

Hello, I have info stating that this is an Iron Age (cultivator) Leaf Lifter, similar to a Planet Jr. Thanks all, Lou
