Thorsen Tool box
« on: February 01, 2020, 07:48:48 PM »
I pulled the trigger on the Thorsen tool box.  The seller had a bunch of old tools also so I looked them over.
I got a like new Stanley 12in (wood handle) common screw driver, and noticed two Bonny  Chrome Vanadium 1/2 offset box wrenches 9/16 and 13/16.
Never saw those before.  I checked them out on AA, and the date codes say they were made in 1928 and 29.  Apparently the box wrench with only one end offset was state of the art in the 20's.  $40 out the door for all.  My only complaint is the wrenches can't talk, what stories they could tell.  Oh yeah, now I'll have to fill out the 1/2 offset kit, and still find the damned 3/8 Plomb Pebble combo...

PS.  He had a bunch of old  "S" wrenches if anyone is interested.
