W21 wrench
« on: October 29, 2013, 12:37:22 PM »
Why would anyone have 6( W21 )wrenchs ? The second B5 is probably a spare but 6 seems to be overkill.
Can't ask wife because when I carried home a couple hundred pounds of nails and asked "why would anyone have this many nails?" Her reply "why do you ?"
Also I now have snath wrenchs and nary a snath.
These are gleanings from 2 auction flats I acquired Mon.

The two with the little pins marked B5 are for a Mast Foo's machine I believe. Kinda hard to find.

Agreed Carl. Now since the W21 wrenchs came from same box can I assume these W21's were for a Mast Foos machine and not a Northwest Thresher . Rathbone gives both usages but has no picture.

Bill, Is this the one ? I haven't identified it for sure but something tells me cream separator wrench. That something has been wrong on occasion. Thought I had one in basement but quick scan didn't reveal it. Will research later if some kind soul doesn't positively ID it.

I have at least 3 like that, and have seen several more, what ever it is, they made a lot of them...
Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

Thanks Jimwrench and Rusty. I may have been looking in the wrong direction. The one i have came from an old body shop auction and I assumed it was auto related. Hopefully someone can enlighten us.

Have not identified the specific usage of the black wrench but did locate what looks to be 2 copies of this wrench in OL-14 of Vern Nails 2007 auction at York. The lot is identified only as unmarked separator type wrenchs.

Not sure what the W21 wrench went to, but the infestation has traveled to California...

Mast Foos & Co Lawn Mower Parts Lists show a W21 small double open ended wrench. The parts list picture doesn't look exactly like the known W21 wrench but since a W21 wrench that looks exactly like the parts list one as not been found I would say it is the Mast Foos wrench.
