With the outage at Garage Gazette, Machinist's Gazette, and Tools and Garages, a lot of new members have joined Tool Talk , as well as some who were members here, but had not visited in a while. GG is a sister site to Tool Talk, and all the members are welcome here, so greet them when they show up.
When Tool Talk had a meltdown, GG was very supportive of our rebuild and I thank them immensely.

sometimes we get caught up in the minutiae of wrench collecting that we forget about aspects of the hobby.

Obviously not a tool collector as most here know. I figured I'd sign in just to keep in the loop as to what's up.
Hope all goes well with the recovery, hosed firmware is tuff. I'm sure Rusty knows this but I'm putting it out there just in case.
Have had firmware get corrupted a time or two. The recovery was to reset the machine to the factory default.
Depending on how old the machine maybe might require multi passes to bring it back to the current version or version just before it blew up...
