Title: Auto-kit set
Post by: jimwrench on June 16, 2015, 11:10:14 AM
Got these three sets in a lot at recent auction. Not really interested in them but guess I'll keep them since they followed me home. Not a proper fastener in the lot but that's pretty typical in my experience.
They are from top to bottom
 Auto-kit
 Indestro
 Wards Eclipse
I didn't bid on these but don't remember what I wanted out of the lot. Alas the vagueries of the elderly. Is vaguery a real word (my spellcheck says no) but I kind of like it.

Around here I've yet to come across a full set of those type wrenches. All I seem to find is singles here and there. I don't have any complete sets yet but I'm getting closer.

And when you do- You might need one of the repop pin and nut sets I have. Made by our member, Plyerman.

JIMWRENCH, I do not know why it happens, but even tho my hearing isd getting bad,
sometimes when I am looking at a tool, I hear voices saying, " please take me home with you."

perhaps you have the same voices.

I thought that was programmed into my hearing aids.

Yeah.  I have one from the 100 series in 5/8 and 9/16" (marked  c42) and one from the 200 series in 1/2" and 9/16".  They are kinda cute.
Do they have any special back story?  Who made them--and when?

There should be a banner somewhere around here that says, "If all else fails, go to Alloy Artifacts."
I just did and found some great information.

Nah, it's genetic in folks like us.  Like when you see some antique store signs (not all of them, mind you) and the little voice says "Turn in here, now."  Last time that happened to me I found the two volumes of Audel's Carpentry books I was missing, and with the same printing date, and an arch hinged bi-fold ruler.  $11 for the books and the rule.
