For $15?  Like skipskip said, buy it.  People have paid more for a C clamp of that vintage.

I have that vise, and two more of similar ilk,  and other than curiousity appeal, its borderline for shop use.   The casting is hollow, which is apparent when you pick it up, and the heft is not there.   $35 wouild be high in my book for one that was mint.  Guess I'll have to dig mine out for photos.   I would stick with a big machinist vise for doing serious bench work.  But, its your money.

I wouldn't be buying this as my main vise. This would go in my shed out in the sticks. I wouldn't feel as bad if it got ripped off.
