snap on wrenches
« on: December 13, 2011, 11:20:03 PM »
Hi folks, it's me again. ....  I'm still trying to sell some snap on wrench collections.  If anyone would like these tools or has a "lead" PLEASE let me know. I have a set of snap on combos...  1/8 inch through 1 5/8 inch.  Anyhow, it's not the first time I've written /  posted these tools. ... just still looking for a buyer. I guess I should consider ebay??   Well, desperate times call for desperate measures..... any info and advice is welcomed.
cheers,
bird

Can you copy your Craigslist ad and paste it here?

Or- give me a link to it and I'll rebuild it into a "For Sale" post for you.

Anyway

Try putting them on garge journal.

who gave that right to me.

Hi John

I would recommend putting some pictures in your post.  Most people will either click the button on craiglist to only include posts in their search reuslts that have pictures or not even click on the link if the the "pic" or "img" is not to the right of the link.

In either case you are probably getting very little traffic to your posts.  The more traffic the better chance of selling.

Those wrenches are Bird's. She has a phone number in her Craigslist ads, and she has pictures on her Photobucket account.

Papaw - Opps.  I was reading the posts too quickly and was not looking at who said what.  I was assuming the craiglists links were a reply to your post requesting them from Bird.  You can disregard my post.

Bird - I am no expert at selling posts, but if you provide your links I would be more than happy to give you any comments/tips for posting on craigslist.

We went through that, she just didn't get many who were willing to go to see them.

UMMM... if you don't know me by now, I'm completely computer retarded..... I mean, REALLY RETARDED!
I have a whole bunch of snap on tools I'm trying to sell... but, I don't have a picture of any of them.  If anyone happens to be interested in buying snap on tools let me know.  But, basically, I still don't know how to take a picture, post anything, or do anything more than shout really loud and hope that someone lives next door who wants to buy my tools.
cheers, bird

I would be more than happy to help you put a cragislist post together.  One thing I have learned from my experience with craigslist is that most people are lazy when looking on there.  The less work they have to do,  the better chance you have that they will look at what you are selling.

Currently your posts have no pictures.  It sounds like you have pictures on photobucket but the 2 disadvantages to that are:
1.  since the pictures on not on your post lots of people will not even click on the link so they will never see your post
2.  Pictures on photobucket will require the person to go to an additional website to look at pictures.  It seems like a small issue but I believe it makes some people less interested and others will just pass the post completely

The other thing about craigslist is that not everyone wants to call the person who posted the ad.  They would rather email.  Since you say you are not good with computers I would be willing to help you out with this. I have set up an additional craigslist account to help you out.  If anyone emails me with questions I can give them answers to what I know and then direct them your way by giving them your phone number.

If you (or Papaw, or anyone else) could send me the link to your photobucket pictures, I can include them on the post as well.  I can put the post together and post the link here for you to review.

If you don't want me to do this, not a problem.  I will not take it personally.
