Craftsman BE Ratchet

I picked this one up today too. It is a Craftsman BE but the selector lever is different than the BE series shown in the ratchet thread. The picture doesn't show it but there is a ball in a detent that holds the selector lever in position. 1/2 inch drive, is this one older than the one in the ratchet thread? That one looks like there is a ball formed on the back side of the selector lever.

There are several selector levers and the general consensus is that they used which ever lever that was on hand when they ran a batch. This did not only happen on Craftsman ratchets but all brands that used this style ratchet. New Britain, None Better, Husky, and Craftsman off the top of my head were the majority of them.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.
