Somehow, rapid rotation, and paint never seem to go together well....

I knew a nice fellow, who decided to paint the inside of his pool filter tank because it was getting a bit rusty. He filled it with paint, rolled it around, and dumped out the paint.

But it wouldn't dry...after a few days he got impatient and decided to help it out,

with a torch

The paint thinner vapors in the tank exploded instantly, the tank was thick, so it didn't explode, but, there was a pipe on the side with a 90 degree elbow on it.

The elbow pretended to be a rocket motor for 20 seconds or so.

Spun the tank around amazingly fast.

Painted the entire inside of his garage red oxide.....

Instantly

Just a weathered light rust/WD40 mix patina.

P. S.  Always place your brush or roller inside a 5 gallon bucket when you do the intitial spin after washing unless you like eating and wearing watered down paint.
