Back Home From The Road
« on: August 26, 2011, 08:39:39 AM »
Hello again all,

Rod  here, and I'm a Tool Junkie, Old tool forum member, I live in Southern California. I went out of town just before " The Crash" for  a vacation then an out of town job. I've traded a few tools with some of the members here and hope to trade more. I'll post pictures and help when and were I can. I collect { ok hoard } British or English made  hand tools right now.Once I finish building the original tool kit for our  '51 MG TD, I will start to work on the tool kit for our '34 Packard. Any help with these projects will be greatly appreciated.

Hey All,

Thanks for the warm welcome backs, Yes Benjy it was me looking for the 7in King Dick adjustable wrench. Sorry we missed each other on that one, Hope we can hook up on an other one sometime. I've been able to find and put together most of an original tool roll with pieces I have found at LOTS of swap meets.  I am still missing one " Marked " ' King Dick'  Whitworth  wrench ( 1/2 W x 7/16 W ),  The Shelley 3/4 lb Hammer , The Shelley 10"(in) Screwdriver and the King Dick Adjustable 7"(in)  Wrench. There was a two blade feeler gauge and a valve stem remover in the kit too but I am NOT looking to spend what I have seen them going for. For anybody who finds these items, Please keep in mind I AM CHEAP !! I would rather trade tools for them, then pay $$$ . These tools are for " show" I have a full set of Whitworth tools already that we restored the MG with. I am still finding and buying all and any cheap rusty, oily, grimy, nasty ,bent & broken  Whitworth tools I can. The people selling them at the swao meets are happy to get $ 1.00 for them and not to have to carry that weight home again.
Picked up a few Gems while out of town to trade, I'll post them in the correct spots. Thanks again for the Forum Papa, I have learned A LOT  of information from it . The People here are First Rate.

oops, Yes Benjy Thanks for that link too. I have checked them out before and the information at that site is GREAT for MG A's and general info on other MG's.  I have used links on that site to verify the correct tools for MG's that I find at swap meets and yard sales.
