Wiss hedge trimmers
« on: September 19, 2022, 04:08:06 PM »
Stopped by a yard sale Saturday and picked up an 8" pair of Wiss Shockproof hedge trimmers.  The Shockproof name refers to the rubber bumper between the handles so that they do not slam shut and insult your elbows or something.  Anyone know when they were produced?  Were they an early version that was dropped in favor of simple steel bumpers?

Serious looking clippers.  My hedge clippers also have rubber - on the electric cord.

The rubber bumper is common these days on garden tools of this sort.

Cleaned and oiled them--replaced the bumper, and they are ready to go--to a flea market!

Neat!  I haven't seen those before.
You might say I have a tool collecting problem....
