What the heck is this? I stopped at a couple stores on the way back from the AMCA meet. Found this at the Vernon Variety Store for a buck (plus 8.75% tax). It appears to be something for a CO2 cartridge.
The top reads "WOODLET" and a circle R for trademark. Bottom reads "TURN TO PIERCE; WOODLETS INC.; PORTLAND PA.; PAT. PEND." and has a wire loop like on a flashlight.
Inside reads "MADE IN U.S.A. U.S. PAT. DESIGN NO. 156678. Next to the piece that looks like a pocket clip is "HOLD UPRIGHT".
On the cylinder there are handgrip shapes and also a small(5/8") pyramid shape bump.
Inside - you can see the hole for the gas to come through. Now the piece that looks like a pocket clip lifts out and there is a brass pin with an o-ring to seal the gas, a rubber tip on the bottom to seal the gas hole, a metal retaining ring to keep it in place, and the top part of the pin is held by the top cap to retain the seal of the rubber parts. The brass pin is solid.
It looks like it was meant to be a pocket tool. The only info for Woodlets Inc. has to do with air fresheners but may or may not be the same company.
Regards
