Did you find a 1706-SL yet?  I've still got one that I would trade for most anything P&C that you have a double of, and that I don't already have.

Can't think of anything right now.  I do like the small advertising pieces like the key chain screw drivers and key rings but I already have that stuff.  Did they every offer a shirt pocket screwdriver with a magnet on it?  I would give you some cash to boot if you had one of those.    PM me your address and I'll send this one to you in a few days when I get around to digging it out.  Just having this hanging on the board with it's siblings would actually make me pretty happy even without a trade.

By the way.. just noticed this on Ebay.

Jabber,
I must not be in the right place cause I don't think I have any or have seen any P&C tools????
Were they sold in the northwest??? maybe they were sold under a different name in the midwest?

A bunch of pics (5000+) of tools and projects in our shoppe

The main place where they were build was Portland OR So yeah a north west coast origin but if I remember correctly they started somewhere else ?? Look up Alloy Artifacts for the real story.
Let me know if you want a sample I`ll send you some.

P&C started out in Boise, Idaho in 1920.

It does look right at home!

Check out this other P&C Clik-Stop that I have.   It's a 1718-SL with a date code of A-12-0.  It has a very odd shape around the hanging hole that looks out of place compared to other large Proto Empire wrenches.  What do you think of it?

EDIT: Just found its Proto brother on Ebay.  Guess it's not so unusual after all.
