Nice to put a face to the name Dustin.
This is me on my birthday a few years back (little bear is no longer with us)
Women say I look like the "Holmes on homes" guy. I don’t know, I don’t have cable.

Me getting into an old car yesterday.
-
The wife and I vacationing in Florida a few years ago.
-
Very fine car and trailer there! Did you drive it to Florida? I bet that trailer HOPS at speed and on bumps.
-
We've driven the Chevy from Cleveland to Tampa about 10 times over the past 15 years for the SE Nats. You're right about the trailer. When I was building it I was advised to cut about 2 feet off the original tongue. It had a tendency to hop whenever I hit a bump so I took it to a trailer shop in Tampa. They told me to add about 2 feet to the tongue!
-
And if it is empty it hops worse! My wife and I rode our BMW to Arkansas back in 1985, pulling a trailer with just our clothes and light camping gear in it. That was bad, so we picked up nice looking rocks along the way to give it some stability. Trip home was much better.

Let's see some more member's pictures! We have a lot of new folks and returnees since the last time any were seen here.

I'm the good looking one at the forge. The forge was an eBay purchase ten or twelve years ago, and is one of only seven original traveling forges known to exist. The rest are in museums, but ours comes out and works. Best of worlds, somebody else bought it, but I get to use it!

Ray with one of the two Christmas presents made this year

Nice-looking box, Ray!

That's Righteous, Branson and very very Cool. What does the pulling end look like?

Here's a photo of a repro forge that shows the off side. I'll try to post a drawing from
the period that shows the construction.
-
In the picture, you can see a two wheeled cart (called a limber) . The forge is attached to the limber (just as are the battery wagon and the cannons themselves) -- think of a trailer/tractor rig. The limber is drawn by a six up team, driven by three riders on the near horses.
-
I use two different pics for different purposes. Neither is an accurate representation of me.
One not so clear (just to make a point to my boss) and the other is the look I use when robbing banks, I mean, for Halloween. Yep, for Halloween, Boys!

Yeeesch! 3 times to get the photos right !

If you guessed "JAFE Juice" you'd be right.

Had a pair when I was just able to walk. My two brothers wore them, as well. And our children, and theirs, and theirs.
Many, many of the Northwoods clan have pics in those overalls.

We got some good swimming holes Downunder.
-
Nice shot, Batz! Glad to see this thread up again.
Here are a few of Papaw. First is Friday at Father's Day, then some more with different hats shot by a photographer friend of mine,
-
Hmm, not sure whose pic is scarier, Batz's or Papaw's? heheh
-
Looking kinda Hemingway-ish Papaw?
(The last one with the Pipe)
Chilly
-
I am sure that is the look the photographer was looking for.
-
Due to a change in medications and a much more aggressive method of reducing water retention caused by a heart condition, I have lost about 40 pounds, and look a bit different. I also have done away with the ponytail and trimmed the beard a bunch.
-
Well bummer about the heart stuff, but congrats on losing the 40 pounds anyhow. You look about ten years younger than that old guy in your previous photo.
-
Don't mean to offend anyone, but this is me!
-
No offense ! I am far over trying to impress anyone with my appearance of clothing.
-

So did that follow you home?
-
So did that follow you home?
Inquiring minds want to know !
-
Oh. Nope. I kind of overspent by buying that Belzer socket set. Although now I wish I had also bought a wrench set I saw there.
-
The stay at home stuff has made me grow a bit of beard and thin hair.
-
Glad your name was on that post Papaw, damn near scared the crap out of me! ;-()
-
Looking good, Papaw!! I have been working on growing thinner hair the past few years!! Regards, Lou
-
Here is a picture from last year and a couple from this year. If you poke the pictures I seem to straighten up.
