Fabric on Milwaukee Sander Pad

It's been years since the pad for the discontinued Milwaukee 6010 Orbital Sander was discontinued as well. Spare is no good. I have to make em myself. This thin  red fabric overlying the soft base material; anyone know what this is? My only guess is it's something called Polyethylene fabric.
