Williams S-5 set spotted in the wild...........
« on: September 21, 2011, 08:19:09 AM »
I saw this set last weekend, but alas my funds were limited. Seller wanted $60 for it, box and all. Told me his son-in-law researched it and found out that it cost that price new back in the 60's.

I may contact him and see if he still has it when I get some cash together (read-next overtime check!!), provided he hasn't sold it. He told me it was all there. It sure looked pretty in that original box. Condition of the tools was excellent, in my opinion.

What do you fellas (and ladies) think??

Full set. Nice clean box. I think it is worth what he wants, but would make some attempt at haggling first.

I think you need it!

Just consider it a 401k contribution. No penalty for early liquidation.

Definitely a great deal!!
Oh I'd haggle, sober up, but I would fight for it!
I can't see the other side of it, but judging by the ---perfect--- decal inside the lid, that ratchet might be one of the strongest ratchets I ever knew.

Sweet.  Go for it.I've always loved Williams.  When I was a Loom Fixer in the cotton mill, the old loom fixers (70's) would say to us young guys buy Williams tools you can't go wrong.
