Title: Spring tension plier tool
Post by: amecks on February 12, 2020, 08:34:11 PM: No maker marks visible. The pliers hold something in the jaws by spring pressure. Squeezing the pliers opens the jaws. The jaws have a longitudinal slot and a crossway 90 degree slot. Slightly fuzzy photo shows slots but you can't see that there are (worn) grip serrations in the jaws.

I believe that is correct. I have a similar pair and have always considered them to be for O-rings. They work well in that capacity for me at least.

Then we used a piece of fuel hose to hold the roach while we finished it off !
