Vintage Sawzall
« on: June 06, 2022, 07:36:58 PM »
I found this Very Cool Sawzall locally last year.
I was told that I am the third owner, actually the second since I bought it from a Picker-Flipper Dude.
The original owner put some use to it, but really kept it in nice shape.

The saw came with dozens upon dozens of blades.
And he kept ALL of the used ones.

Since this saw is housed in a Silver box as opposed to Red, I am guessing that this is a substantially early model.

Don't you just love the red Lightning Bolts!

Hi genog,
I'll tell ya, that is one beautiful vintage, all Aluminum  Sawzall. The nameplate states, "MILWAUKEE, WIS., U.S.A." In 1965 Milwaukee Electric moved everything to the next county in the then town or city of Brookfield. I've seen the place. Saw their headquarters 50 years ago. After the move, the nameplate changed to "BROOKFIELD, WIS., USA"
Your saw predates that. So she's at least that old.
Yeah, I love that signature lightening bolt too. I been trying to find decals of that for like home made tool boxes for their tools. And yes, the Silver Tool box; or it Aluminum? The older ones seem to match the tool. I reckon they turned red as the tools had more red composite to em.
Anyway, your Sawzall is in pristine condition with well preserved paperwork. I appreciate looking at your pictures.
No matter how much you cut off, it's still too short

That is a nice saw! I have one of the later red composite ones. It doesn’t begin to compare with yours. It was patented February 25, 1958 so no older than that.
