Whozit? Nippers "H***er & Son"

One pair of nippers is only marked GERMANY.  They have a tack puller and screwdriver handle ends.  I don't expect to identify them. 

But the other pair has a "H" logo in a oval with a flower or cornstalk?  The stamping of the name is off the edge of the handle.  It appears to be 4 letters and then "ER & SON..." after son it goes off the edge again.  Guessing the first letter is "H".  Looks like a "6" below that and they are exactly 6" long.
I'm thinkin' someone will recognize the logo.  What sez you all?

I like them both; the bottom one because of the cool logo, and the top one because it is sooooo ugly!
No idea as to the maker, though.

Hehe, sorry amecks, I couldn't resist. It does seem like a distinctive logo like that should be familiar to somebody around here.

Plyerman - that is them!  But it doesn't help me figger out the whozit.
blackoak - I see a lot of Heller Bros stuff - farrier tools mostly.  But Heller & Son or Sons?  I wonder if the "Sons" became the "Brothers" making Heller and Sons tools much older?  The Heller Bros tools have a horse logo.
Northwoods - The German nippers are very crude but the rivet is nicer than the H***er rivet and is not as loose or worn.

It is H. Boker & Son (or Sons; I cannot remember which).

I don't think it is Heller and Son(s). Nothing I can find on Heller tools indicate a mark like that.

I'm leaning more toward H. Boker and Son's, as they made pliers and other tools in addition to cutlery.

Mostly knives.  I have several Boker pliers but none have a logo, just the Boker name.

Don't ask me how but I found the maker is Hilger & Sons.  It seems that it was a German manufacturer that had a distributor in New York City. 
"Hilger & Sons was an importer of cutlery and hardware in NYC, founded 1848. Eventually -- probably in the 1890s -- it merged with Wiebusch, to become Wiebusch & Hilger, one of the top 19th and early 20th century US importers of German, Bohemian, and English cutlery (there were dozens of wholesale importers, most located in the cutlery district of lower Manhattan, on or near Duane Street".  From a thread on Practical Machinist.com.
I verified that their mark is an H in a dotted oval with a flower (maybe a tulip).  There's a lot of stuff on eBay and even Craigslist from this maker.
Thanks for the help.  You guys didn't guess it but you pushed me to find out!
