Alrighty, I've got my blower COMPLETELY disassembled :P Took every bit off that would come off, without breaking anything...

Has anyone ever found a source of replacements for the little cone nuts the bearing races ride on? (Sorry, I don't have a picture at the moment) All of mine have a groove worn into them where they rubbed against the bearings. I'm sure I could just grease it, slap it together and be good. But, if I can replace these parts while I've got it apart, I'd like to.

I do need to pick up 26 new ball bearings for the fan-shaft too, but otherwise the rest of the internals are in perfect condition. Still needs a bit of degreasing, that 100+ year old stuff is tough :P But it's coming along nicely.

Thanks VERY much, Twilight, for the eddicating link on greases/lubrication.  And JFTR [Oops, that'd be "Just For The Record"   *he grins friendishly*]  "IIRC" ain't common among writers/historians, which is my winter-job sorta hobby.  At least I'm not too shy to ask, eh?
