HELLO from the wild and wonderful
« on: June 09, 2014, 09:41:20 PM »
Hello everyone! Great site! I am new to the tool scene but I am really looking forward to the knowledge that all of you members can share. Also I am the guy that posted about the hand drills in the wanted adds.

THANKS PAWPAW
Great site! Also thanks for the help with the Mossberg wrench earlier. Well a little bit about me. Layed off coal miner. Looking for a hobby to pass the time and learn a little on the way. 42 years old live in West Virginia. I really am interested in the hand drills and hand drill presses, hand grinders and sharpeners. I guess the reason for this is to simplify my life. Get back to the basics and learn to work with the tools that my grandfather and great grandfather worked with. Any help from any of the members on types and brands good or bad will be of great help.

Hi Diesel, Welcome from Florida.  I think you'll like it here.  Great bunch of people!

I also have an interest in hand drills and breast drills.  Millers Falls and Goodell-Pratt made about the best.  Lots of different models to look for.

Check out Randy Roeders  M-F web site "Old tool heaven".  A wealth of info there.
