Title: SNAP ON SOCKET # S9835 BUICK BALL JOINT SOCKET ??
Post by: Ken W. on November 07, 2011, 05:58:53 PM
I picked this up at a want to be tool / pawn shop this weekend. It's a Snap On Tools # S9835 3/4" drive shallow socket that measures 1 7/8". I looked it up online and came up with it being for ball joints for full size Buick's.The socket is the one on the left on the bottom pic and the right on the top. This must have been before my time.

Is there a date code on it?

I remember some GM ball joints that had a hex base, maybe in the 60's-70's?

Interesting, I have a Mac socket like that, the number on it isn't in the catalog anymore, bet it's for the same thing...

Now all you need is an old buick....;P

Is your Mac socket a hex socket or slightly different for Chrysler's ?
