Brought home another Monkey
« on: December 13, 2016, 07:58:37 PM »
I went after a set of monkey wrenches several years back.  Four inch up to 18/20 inch.  Nice matching COES patent.  Got a set and don't need more, right?  Haven't seen a decent one in some time anyway.  Friday in a re-sell shop was digging through the adjustable wrench box.  Stillson pipe wrenches, Ford adjustable, and one nice 14 inch COES.  Looks like it might say Walden-Worcester on the other side.  Knife handle scales, not split, cracked or (monkeyed) with.   Never wire brushed, painted, bent, sand blasted or shellaced.  Price was right, and something told me to rescue it.   Why does this happen?

Yeah i Think we'd all like to know the answer to that question.
A person who could really read human minds would be privileged to gaze on some correct imitations of chaos.

wrench collectors are keepers of history, if you see a wrench and pick it up to study, if it is not just a glance, but a
longer study, your mind kicks in and helps you make a choice, odds are you are now thinking, you like what you
see and the mind pushes aside the other choice, "do I need it."

Oh no, I just added another treasure.

p.s. just a random thought.
